It's always sad when someone dies young. It hits closer to home when you know the person, either personally or through their public works.
Such is the case of actress Brittany Murphy, who apparently died on Sunday of natural causes at the age of 32. Known for many "girl" movies such as "Clueless," "Girl Interrupted" and "Just Married," Murphy was a rising star with plenty of energy and personality. And while most of her work was known in the movies, she did voice the character of Luanne Platter in "King of the Hill."
What was lesser known, according to the San Francisco Examiner, is that Murphy did voices for two videogames. She reprised her role of Gloria in the animated film Happy Feet for the game of the same name. She also was the voice of Karen Light in Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure in 2005.
She did play a few videogames, athough it isn't clear whether it was just for publicity purposes. The photo at left has her giving a Wii Fit board a work out ... in high-heeled boots.
While Murphy's death has been ruled as a possible heart attack), the official coroner's report won't be out for 6-8 weeks. RIP Brittany.
