The Taliban have conducted what appears to be a campaign of cultural terrorism in Pakistan, claiming a videogame store as a casualty. Yesterday, Islamist militants swept through the main market in Mingora, the capital of the Swat Valley region of Pakistan, burning down shops selling videos and electronic goods. A store selling videogames was among those set ablaze. Furniture and goods worth thousands of rupees were destroyed, according to local police. The once-tranquil Swat Valley has become a battleground in the conflict between Taliban and the Pakistan army.
